March Activities

Here are the challenges from March.

  • March 31st:  Read a book about space.
  • March 30th: Look up 5 new words in the dictionary.
  • March 29th: Read a book about an animal.
  • March 28th: Read about an interesting person.
  • March 27th: Write 5 fun facts about yourself.
  • March 26th: Write a poem about spring. Here’s a template to write an acrostic poem (where the first letter in each line spell out the word ‘Spring’)
  • March 25th: Write a story that takes place in the past.
  • March 24th: Read a book about space.
  • March 23rd: Visit your local public library.
  • March 22nd: Read a book about a place you’d like to visit.
  • March 21st: Find a new game, read the rules, and play.
  • March 20th: Learn about your first name’s meaning.
  • March 19th: Create a comic strip with a friend. Print our template (with panels and call-outs) or make your own.
  • March 18th: Read a biography of a famous person.
  • March 17th: Read a book in the park.
  • March 16th: Help an adult cook a recipe. Allrecipes has thousands of recipes to try.
  • March 15th: Share your favorite book with a friend.
  • March 14th: Interview an adult about their favorite book. Check out our interview form with questions you can ask.
  • March 13th: Read a graphic novel. Visit your local library to check out a novel or two. OR, try Hoopla, a digital library that lets you check out books for free with your library card.
  • March 12th: Learn something new in a newspaper. Online reading counts too! Check out Time Magazine’s Time for Kids website, with a special mention for their article, A Year in Space.
  • March 11th: Make an an alternate book cover for your favorite book – Get a printable sheet.
